Hopefully, it can foster students' love for historical objects in Jakarta

According to him, it aims to introduce and increase students' insight into historical and cultural objects, especially those in Jakarta.

"Hopefully, it can foster students' love for historical objects in Jakarta," he expressed, in the courtyard of the South Jakarta Mayor's Office, Wednesday (8/7).

He hoped the activity could broaden students' insight because they can see directly the noble heritage of the Indonesian nation that cannot be found in the classroom.

"Hope they can take part in activities seriously, thus they become beautiful memories, can understand the history, recognize and love their city," he hoped.

South Jakarta Culture Sub-agency Head, Rusmantoro explained that during the study tour from August 7 to 8, students were invited to visit three museums, namely, Jakarta Historical Museum, Fine Arts and Ceramics Museum, and Betawi Setu Babakan Museum.

"They will visit in two waves. Today, there are 300 students and another 200 tomorrow," he explained.

By seeing the greatness of the Indonesian civilization in the past, visiting participants could use this moment as a provision for experience in living life now and in the future.

"Hopefully, this learning activity outside of school will enable students to recognize and preserve their understanding of the history of Jakarta and also the nation's struggles," he said.
