24 Kg Water Spinach Harvested from Batu Ampar Urban Farming

As many as 24 kilogram of water spinach were harvested from an urban farming land on Jalan SMPN 126 RT 10/03, or northern side pf RPTRA Udara Segar, Batu Ampar, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, Thursday (8/8). The water spinach then were distributed to local residents.
This urban farming is also a form of securing Jakarta Provincial Government's land
Batu Ampar Urban Village Economy and Development Section Head, Isra Nur Hikmah, said the harvesting was conducted together with RPTRA caretaker, administrators of RT, RW, LMK, urban village and sub-district PKK, and local PPSU.

According to Isra, it is the second harvest on the 3.8 hectare land owned by Jakarta Provincial Government. There are still many empty spots there and will be used for other activities such as making park, nutrient pool, and so on.
"This urban farming is also a form of securing Jakarta Provincial Government's land," Isra stated.
