10 Personnel Clean Up Debris of Burnt Houses in Penggilingan

Some 10 members of PPSU from Penggulingan Urban Village, Cakung, East Jakarta, cleaned up the debris of residents' houses on Jalan Konveksi II, RT 004/RW 10 No.56 which burned down early Saturday (8/24).

Penggilingan Urban Village Head, Gunawan said PPSU personnel were deployed to ease the burden of fire survivor families. Debris clearing was conducted after the police line at the location was removed.
"They (PPSU) help sort out items that could be reused. Those that are burnt and unsuitable are immediately thrown away," he expressed.

East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency Head, Muchtar Zakaria explained that to put out the flames, as many as six fire engines and 24 personnel were sent to the scene.
"We have managed to control the situation within 20 minutes or around 2.02 AM," he explained.
