Sunter Jaya PPSU Beautifies Residents' Environment with Murals

The Sunter Jaya Urban Village PPSU personnel, Tanjung Priok Sub-district, North Jakarta, beautified the residents' environment on Jalan Sunter Jaya II, RT 14/02 with murals.

The work has been ongoing since mid-August

Sunter Jaya Urban Village Head, Eka Persilian Yeluma said the mural painting carries the theme "Go Green" with added motivational writing.

"The work has been ongoing since mid-August. Thus far, it has entered finishing stage and is targeted for completion tomorrow," he expressed, Monday (9/2).

Green Belt on Jalan Pancoran Raya Beautified

He explained it involved three personnel and also its supporting tools.

"Hopefully, it can be enjoyed by road users who pass through Jalan Sunter Jaya II and become an effective medium for conveying messages to residents, especially for carrying out greening," he explained.

He added efforts are currently also being made to beautify the environment in RW 05 and 02 by creating vertical parks and fish ponds in the Sunter Mas RPTRA in RW 08.

"All of it uses the General Allocation Fund from the central government. We use it as much as possible to make the environment cleaner, more comfortable, more beautiful, and has more value," he added.

The work above received appreciation from one of the residents, Vicky (27).

He assessed the mural could motivate residents to keep the environment clean and beautiful.

"Very nice and interesting, especially on that road there is a kindergarten, the children are very happy. Of course, the residents appreciate the existence of this mural," he said.
