South Jakarta Water Resource Implementer Unit Coordinator, M Faleh, said the revitalization by installing U-ditch is responding the resident request through Musrenbang in 2023.
"The channel is being widened by using 40x40 cm U-ditch," he said, Monday (9/9).
Faleh explained five personnel and one excavator are deployed everyday to instal U-ditch along 32 meters.
"Now we are installing the cover. It is targeted to complete this week," he explained.
He hoped this revitalization is able to reduce inundation during rainy season.
"Local residents should maintain the channel cleanliness to make the channel runs smoothly," he added.
Meanwhile, local resident, Usman (48), appreciated the channel revitalizing in his area. The work does not interfere local residents activity.
"The progress is quite fast. Hopefully there will be no more inundation during rainy season," he stated.
