Various stakeholders also signed a joint commitment to accelerate the reduction of stunting in Seribu Island through this program.

"Stunting discussions are an important step that must be taken by local governments to ensure that the implementation of plans is carried out in an integrated manner between OPDs, non-government sectors/institutions and the community," he said, Thursday (9/12).
He added that the Rembuk Stunting aims to convey the results of situation analysis and the draft plan for stunting reduction intervention program. Then also declare the commitment of the regional government and agree on an integrated stunting reduction activity plan.
"We also want to develop public commitment in reducing stunting. Kelapa Island Urban Village becomes an integrated reducing and preventing stunting in Seribu Island," he added.
According to him, the intervention is not only held to Kelapa Island, but also to all urban village with the support of Regional Budget, State Budget, and CSR.
Meanwhile, Seribu Island Health Agency Head, Murniasi Hutapea, said stunting prevalence in Seribu Island up to August 2024 is 58 children or 2.6 percent. This number is lower compared to 2023 by 131 children or 6.8 percent.
"Nutritious additional food still becomes our program to intensify reducing stunting," he said.
He continued that there is still support from community and PKK cadre starting from collecting data, accompanying, and monitoring the food consumption.
