E. Jakarta Sudinsos Distributes 335 Wheelchairs

East Jakarta Social Sub-agency has distributed 335 wheelchairs to people with disability during January to September 2024.

Acting East Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Abdul Salam, said the distribution of wheelchairs is part of responding resident request through musrenbang.

"Those 335 wheelchairs consist of 325 units for adult and 10 units for children. All have been distributed to resident directly," he said, Friday (9/13).

Apart from wheelchairs, Abdul added, they also provided 10 hearing aids and five tripods for other people with disabilities.

East Jakarta Social Sub-agency's Social Rehabilitation Guarantee Protection Section Head, Deni Triyanto, stated the 335 wheelchairs are distributed to Cawang, Batu Ampar, and Cililitan residents.

"The other three wheelchairs to be distributed to resident of Pulogadung Sub-district," he stated.

Komariah, one of the receivers, thanked the East Jakarta Social Sub-agency for providing the assistance. The request of wheelchair was submitted by her in March 2024 ago.

"Now we have receive the assistance. Hopefully this will support my daily activity," she admitted.
