West Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency repairs water channel on Jalan Cempaka Raya, precisely in front of RPTRA Cempaka, RT 03/12, Rawa Buaya Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district.
The repair is targeted to complete in two weeks
West Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency Head, Purwanti, said the repair is run along 40 meters with 40 cm of width and 40 cm of height. Water channel condition is broken in several points.
"The channel is being repaired to accommodate and flow the water smoothly especially during heavy rain," Purwanti said, Tuesday (9/17).
Grogol Selatan Urban Village Head Monitors Water Channel Normalization on Jalan KramatPurwanti added that the repair has been running since a week ago by involving five personnel of West Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency. Personnel replaces old plaster with new 40x40 cm u-ditch.
"The repair is targeted to complete in two weeks," Purwanti added.
Marzuki Dahlan (53), one of local residents, appreciated the water channel repair in his area.
"Hopefully it will eliminate inundation during rainy season," he hoped.
