Channel on Jalan Janur Elok Being Dreged from Mud

The Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit for Kelapa Gading Sub-district, North Jakarta is dredging the Connecting Channel on Jalan Janur Elok, RT 03/14, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Urban Village.

Everything goes smoothly

Kelapa Gading Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Acting Head, Slamet Riyanto said dredging was conducted to increase the capacity and smooth the flow of water in order to minimize flooding.

"This is a maintenance effort, as well as following up on the request of the local RW administrator," he expressed, Monday (9/23).

Water Channel on Jalan Teluk Gong Normalized

He explained the channel was being dredged up to 150 meters and two meters deep.

"We deploy ten personnel and one unit of long-arm excavator," he explained.

He added it has been ongoing since September 16, 2024, and the work progress has touched 20 percent. He also deployed five dump trucks with five cubic meters to transport mud at the location every day.

"Everything goes smoothly. It is targeted for completion in October 2024," he explained.

The action above received appreciation from a resident from RW 14, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Rahayu (27)  

"Thank you and this is very important. Besides being clean, the channel's capacity increases and hopefully it will prevent flooding during heavy rain," he concluded.
