Public Toilet Provided in Jati Padang Urban Village

South Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency has completed the construction of Ketapang public toilet at RW 02, Jati Padang Urban Village, Pasar Minggu Sub-district.

South Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin hopes this public toilet will no longer make local resident to defecate on the river.

"Hopefully this public toilet will provide good sanitation and create healthy lifestyle at RW 02," he said, Saturday (9/28).

He appealed local residents to take care the facility to get longer benefit of life.

"The public toilet is constructed by government which the fund is taken from tax of society," he added.

Meanwhile, South Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency Head, Santo,  explained the public toilet is constructed by 25.81 square meter with five doors. Those five doors are two bathing rooms for man and woman and one room for washing.

"The construction process took one month, with a septic tank capacity of 2,000 liters and scheduled for pumping once a year," he explained.

He hopes that the construction of the Ketapang public toilet can be beneficial to the surrounding community in order to improve clean and healthy living for all.
