Heru Appreciates LRT Jakarta Phase 1B Progress Exceeding Target

Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono accompanied by PT LRT Jakarta Director Hemdri Saputra reviewed the construction of Lintas Raya Terpadu (LRT) Phase 1B Velodrome-Manggarai.
Currently only 31 percent of the construction has been completed
Heru said that the construction process now reaches 31 percent with target of completion in 2026.
"Thanks God now we can see the progress of LRT line from Velodrome to Manggarai. There are already five stations from Velodrome in 6.4 km range. It needs one km remanining to complete. Trial with Maintenance Rail Vehicle (MRV) will be held soon," he said, Monday (10/14).
LRT Jakarta Phase 1B Supports Resident Mobility and InvestmentHeru added that this effort is part of Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment in handling traffic by adding more public transport.
"Jakarta Provincial Government will surely continue this effort. And today is as our commitment, the progress in longer quicker but exceeds the target," he added.
Heru also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all stakeholders involved in the construction process of LRT Jakarta Phase 1B. So that the construction process is faster and exceeds the target.
"Thank you to all parties who have assisted the development process from various aspects. We managed to implement it quickly. Currently only 31 percent of the construction has been completed, namely from the Velodrome to Pramuka. To reach Manggarai, it is targeted to be completed in 2026 and at least be operational in early 2027," Heru explained.
The Jakarta LRT Phase 1B is built along 6.4 kilometers and passes five stations, namely Rawamangun Pemuda Station, BPKP Pramuka Station, Pasar Pramuka Station, Matraman Station, and Manggarai Station.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta LRT Phase 1A which is already operational has a 5.8-kilometer track passing through six stations, namely Pegangsaan Dua Station, Boulevard Utara Station, Boulevard Selatan Station, Pulomas Station, Equestrian Station, and Velodrome Station. When completed, the total Jakarta LRT track from Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta to Manggarai, South Jakarta will be 12.2 kilometers long with a travel time of around 26 minutes.
During the visit, Heru was also accompanied by Jakarta Regional Secretary's Development and Environment Assistant, Afan Adriansyah; Jakarta Regional Secretary's Economy and Finance Assistant, Sri Haryati; East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar; Regional Owned Enterprise's Development Agency, Nasruddin Joki Surjono; and Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo.
