Cilandak Sub-district Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Yansori, said the dredging is aimed to anticipate inundation caused by channel overflow.
"This activity is conducted routinely," he said, Tuesday (10/15).

According to him, eight Blue Taskforce personnel are deployed to dredge the channel. About 20 sacks of mud were transported everyday.
"The activity has been running since October 3, 2024 and is targeted to complete this week," he added.
One of local residents, Alex (47) appreciated the personnel for dredging the channel.
"It's good to anticipate inundation during rainy season," he stated.
