Fire Hits Resident House on Jalan Deli Lorong 28

Some 15 personnel and three fire engines from North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat), managed to put out the fire that burned down a resident's house on Jalan Deli Lorong 28, RT 09/08, Koja Urban Village, North Jakarta, Tuesday (10/22).

It was allegedly triggered by an electrical short circuit

North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Rahmat Kristantio said his party received information about the incident at around 8.35 AM and immediately deployed firefighters to handle the incident.

He explained the first personnel who arrived at the scene at around 8:41 AM immediately handled the fire. After handling it for around 15 minutes, the extinguishing process entered the cooling stage at around 8:47 AM

"It was allegedly triggered by an electrical short circuit," he expressed.

North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Fire and Rescue Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman added that based on information in the field, it was known that the fire started in the middle bedroom of the house downstairs. Then sparks hit the ceiling of the room and burned the second floor.

Then the fire grew bigger until it burned part of the second floor area of ​​the house, about 15 square meters.

"The victims affected were two people from one family. At 9:03 AM or 30 minutes after the incident, the extinguishing process was complete," he stated.
