Jakarta BPBD Simulates Disaster Handling in Roa Malaka

Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling (BPBD) held earthquake socialization and simulation on Jalan Tiang Bendera II, RT 06 RW 03, Roa Malaka Urban Village, Tambora, West Jakarta, Monday (10/28).

Acting Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling (BPBD) Head, Isnawa Adji, said the activity is aimed to increase public understanding in dealing with the threat of earthquake.

Isnawa explained that his side provided disaster material during the activity such as education on earthquake preparedness, evacuation technique, and how to protect individually.

"We need to raise the understanding and preparedness of resident to deal with disaster impact," he said.

Jakarta BPBD also socialized the Jakarta Siaga 112 service that can be accessed 24 hours. There was also socialization of disaster literacy room of Jakarta BPBD which plays an important role as a center for disaster information and education.

"Please contact Jakarta Siaga 112 call center for an emergency situation," he stated.
