Thousand Islands Regent Junaedi Passes Away

The Seribu Island Regent, Junaedi passes away while working at Seribu Island Liaison Office, Mitra Praja Building, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Wednesday (11/13) afternoon.

The deceased died in his office this afternoon

This news was confirmed directly by the Assistant to the Government (Aspem) of the Regional Secretary of Jakarta Province, Sigit Widjatmoko, who also serves as Acting Head of the Jakarta Communication and Information Agency.

Sigit told that previously Junaedi was taken to RSPI Sulianti Saroso for medical check up.

"The body has been taken to RSPI Sulianti Saroso for a post-mortem. The deceased died in his office this afternoon," Sigit said, Wednesday (13/11) evening.

Sigit added the funeral home is located at Wiladatika Residence, Ciracas, East Jakarta. However, according to him, the family is still determining the time and location of the funeral.

"We are deeply saddened by his sudden passing," Sigit added.

As for information, Junaedi is the Regent of the Seribu Islands who has served since September 4, 2020. The man who was born on December 5, 1966 also served as Deputy Regent of the Seribu Islands from 2018 to 2020. Junaedi also served as Deputy Mayor of the North Jakarta Administration from 2017 to 2018.
