Alia also supports Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Agency to prepare APAR in every RT and RW especially in densely population areas.

"Commission A supports for residents knowing how to use the APAR, then have it in RT and RW offices," she said, Thursday (11/13).

According to Alia, pre-disaster training for the community is very important to provide first aid. In addition, housewives also need to gain knowledge about the dangers of lighting fires while doing other activities.

"We appeal Fire Handling and Rescue Agency to provide trainings for youngster at RW level," she added.

Alia continued the commission will discuss the provision of APAR at RT/RW level with related agency, including on how to refill it.

"Urban villages propose 10 units for each RT," she continued.

Meanwhile, Jakarta City Council Commission A member, Heri Kustanto, said Fire Handling and Rescue Agency needs to add more APAR especially in densely population areas. This proposal is one of the residents' requests to prevent the spread of fire when a fire occurs.

"Firefighters often have difficulty to enter residential alleys," he said.
