Secretary of Commission C Wants Quality of Building Infrastructure Maintained

Jakarta City Council's Commission C Secretary, Suhud Alynudin wants the quality of infrastructure development run by Jakarta Provincial Government can be increased.

Suhud said The Goods and Services Procurement Service Agency (BPPBJ) needs to pay more attention to the quality of work carried out by vendors or contractors in constructing buildings for public interest, such as educational and health facilities.

"The running development requires seriousness because it is also related to the safety of many people, that must be the focus," he said, Tuesday (12/3).

He added that building construction must be implemented based on its specification. It means the quality constructions must not be reduced.

Related to selecting vendors, Suhud requested BPPBJ to be more careful. It is aimed to ensure the building quality.

"Commission C supports BPPBJ to be more selective in selecting vendors, especially in using the budget. Reduction is not allowed," he added.

According to him, Commission C recommended BPPBJ to pay attention on vendor's work quality.

"It is also necessary to provide warnings and blacklist vendors who are naughty and whose work is not good," he stated.
