Jakarta Provincial Government Eliminates Motor Vehicle Tax Fines Until End of 2024

Jakarta Provincial Government provides incentive by eliminating administration fine for Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Motor Vehicle Transfer Fee (BBNKB) for the first delivery.

pay their tax easily

The policy is run from December 2, 2024 for taxpayers completing tax payment up to December 31, 2024.

Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency Head, Lusiana Herawati said the policy is held to lighten residents' burden and encourage taxpayers to pay tax.

"Residents are able to pay their tax easily," she said, Tuesday (12/3).

Lusi explained that the fine elimination is run automatically through regional tax information management system. It means taxpayers shall not manually process it.

"It is hoped to increase efficiency and convenience in paying vehicle tax," she added.

According to Lusi, regional tax, including PKB and BBNKB, is a significant source of income to support various development programs. Therefore, Jakarta Provincial Government invites residents to take advantage of this incentive as a form of support for sustainable development.

"Hopefully regional revenue target can be achieved through this program. Resident's participation is important to support the policy and contribute in better Jakarta development," she explained.
