Relocated to Flat, Residents Living Under Pejagalan Toll Road Bridge Happy

As many as 57 families living under toll bride in Jembatan Tiga, Pejagalan Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Tuesday (12/3), were relocated to flats prepared by Jakarta Provincial Government.

The relocation was supported by residents living under toll bridge who want decent housing.
Kamsiah (50), one of residents, admitted happy to be relocated to flat on Jalan Tongkol, Ancol, Pademangan.

"We will have two bedrooms. Those are enough for my family," she admitted.
Kamsiah added that urban village has given explanation that they will be free of charge for six months before paying retribution as usual.
Kamsiah added that she will also get a stall for selling. Before being moved to flat, she had a stall under the toll road.
"I try to selling something on my stall here to pay the rent fee," she added.
Pejagalan Urban Village Head, Tomy Haryono explained that his side deployed 80 joint personnel of PPSU, Lah taskforce, Satpol PP and Transportation to assist the relocation. Then eight trucks and pick up cars were also involved.
"More residents have agreed to be relocated to Jalan Tongkol Flat and Nagrak Cilicing Flat," he explained.
