6 Inner-City Toll Roads Construction to Begin in 2016

The construction of six inner-city toll roads that has long been planned finally given the green light. Its construction is slated to begin in 2016. The first phase of construction will be built from Pulogebang-Semanan.

Frans Sunito, Director of PT Jakarta Toll Road said that the construction of six inner-city toll roads will be started from Semanan-Pulogebang-Sunter as long as 30 kilometers. “It is built to accommodate heavy vehicles,” he said, Wednesday (5/20).
“If the land acquisition process goes smooth, the construction will be carried out in 2016. Insya Allah (God willing), it will complete in 2018,” he uttered.
Jakarta Asset and Financial Management Body (BPKAD) Head, Heru Budi Hartono expressed his side has prepared Rp 125 billion for inventorying measurement and toll road's trace construction. The budget itself is not including to acquire the land, which was allocated by Rp 3 trillion.
Meanwhile, Regional Development Planning Board (Bappeda) Head, Tuty Kusumawati added Jakarta Bina Marga Department will tackle land acqusition matter to build the piling foundation. Before that, there should be coordination with National Land Agency (BPN) first in accordance with Presidential Regulation No. 30/2015.
