Fire Burns 13 Rent-Houses in Klender

The electrical short circuit caused fire that burned 13 rent-houses on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Gang Masjid Al Ikhsan RT 001/16 Klender Urban Village, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Friday (12/27) at 8:40 AM.
13 families or 40 people lost their houses
East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency Head, Muchtar Zakaria said based on the information gathered, the fire came from electrical short circuit of a cable installation. The fire then got bigger and spread to other houses.
"Resident heard an explosion from the cable. It suddenly burnt and went bigger," he said.

His side deployed 12 firetrucks with 48 personnel. Fire then was fully extinguished after being handled in an hour at 9:45 AM.
"The incident did not cause any fatality or injury. But 13 families or 40 people lost their houses," he stated.
