Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi monitored the sidewalk construction with complete street concept at Pancoran Statue, Tebet, South Jakarta.

Teguh said that Jakarta Bina Marga Agency has arranged the sidewalk with complete street concept on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Jalan MT Haryono, and Jalan Raya Duri Kosambi.
"The improvements of sidewalk infrastructure and utility network are part of Jakarta Provincial Government support of connectivity at areas of business, commercial, governmental, public facility and to give inclusive facility for community," he said, Monday (12/30).
Sidewalk Revitalization on Jalan Ciputat Raya to Complete NovemberTeguh explained sidewalk construction on west side of Jalan HR Rasuna Said is run along 4,800 meter. The sidewalk is integrated with mass transportation and equipped with 160 public street lights.
Then the sidewalk construction on Jalan MT Haryono is also run with complete street concept along 5,400 meter. The sidewalk is also equipped with 64 public street lights on the side of South Jakarta and 21 public street lights on the side of East Jakarta.
"New utility network in form of mainhole and connecting pipe are also added. Hopefully it can be functioned as soon as possible to manage the cables," he added.
He continued that the sidewalk construction on Jalan Duri Kosambi, West Jakarta is run along 1,500 meter. The sidewalk aims to support commercial area and public transportation accessibility. It is also equipped with 30 public street lights.
"The sidewalks are also completed with trees to increase city aesthetic and give comfort for pedestrian," he continued.
Teguh appeals all Jakarta resident to maintain and use sidewalks as well as possible.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head, Heru Suwondo stated Rp 43 billion was spent to construct sidewalk on Jalan MT Haryono. Then on Jalan HR Rasuna Said spent Rp 45 billion and on Jalan Raya Duri Kosambi spent Rp 11.1 billion.
"We constructed them one by one. The mainhole construction is just completed, then we'll manage the cables," he stated.
