Traffic at Senayan Roundabout Remains Smooth

The traffic at Bundaran Senayan, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta remains smooth ahead of new year celebration tonight.

The roads will be re-opened on Wednesday (1/1) at 1 AM

Based on beritajakarta.id monitoring, the traffic was smooth without vehicles queue at 7 PM.

The Sudirman-Thamrin from Jalan Fatmawati was already closed at 6 PM. Tens of police and transportation personnel are guarding the area.

Transjakarta Route Adjusted for New Year`s Eve

People were seen flocking with their families on foot to the entertainment stages provided by Jakarta Provincial Government along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman and Jalan MH Thamrin.

Jakarta Police traffic director Sr. Comr. Latif Usman said his side has closed the roads heading to Car Free Night, including the Senayan Roundabout.

"The roads will be re-opened on Wednesday (1/1) at 1 AM," he said, Tuesday (12/31).

Meanwhile, Sofyan (36), resident living in Lebank Bulus, admitted he walked on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman earlier to avoid traffic jam.

"I came here together with my family. I parked my motorcycle at Senayan City. Traffic jam usually occurs during the night, so I came earlier," he admitted.

As for information, the roads from South to North (South Jakarta) are closed and diverted to Jalan Hang Lekir I - Jalan Hang Tuah - Jalan Hang Lekir IV - Jalan Hang Lekir II - Jalan Asia Afrika - Jalan Gerbang Pemuda - Jalan Gatot Subroto - Jalan KS Tubun - Jalan KH Mas Mansyur - Jalan Cideng - and so on, or may use Jalan HR Rasuna Said - Jalan Prof Dr Satrio - Jalan KH Mas Mansyur and so on, and vice versa North to South).
