Terminal and Station will Be Sterilized from Annoying Sex Workers

The Jakarta City Administration's effort to decrease number of prostitution in capital by controlling sex workers that including in people with social and welfare problem category (PMKS) remains to continue. The allegedly locations such as dimly stall, terminal, Tanjung Priok Station, until Ancol Steam Power Electricity Plant (PLTU) North Jakarta are officer's target location.

"Such locations had been used as prostitution site and must be sterilized. It gives bad impact around the local environment," Head Division of Service and Rehabilitation for North Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Erik Simarmata told beritajakarta.com, Saturday (5/30).

Simarmata added those sex workers quite disturbing indeed. They usually gave sex service for ship crew after their back sailing.

"Such sex workers in Ancol prefer to 'serve' ship crew after a long sail," he said.

Moreover, the coordination along with police, Satpol PP, District Military Command (Kodim) and Garnisun and related units is also maintained as anticipation strategy to prevent rampantly PMKS after the raid.

"We are going to socialize about HIV/AIDS also," he disclosed.
