South Jakarta City Park and Cemetery Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifien said the pruning aimed to anticipate fallen tree since Jakarta is facing strong wind and rain weather.
"We pruned 20 trees on several roads in four urban villages. We deployed 30 personnel of Green Taskforce," he said, Thursday (2/6).

Jakarta Tamhut Prunes 48 Trees in CipayungAccording to him, personnel pruned two trees on Jalan Mampang Prapatan, Tegal Parang Urban Village; three trees on Jalan Kuningan Barat Raya, Kuningan Barat Urban Village; four trees on Jalan Bangka Raya, Pela Mampang Urban Village; and 11 trees on Jalan Taman Kemang I, Bangka Urban Village.
"Hopefully our effort will prevent fallen tree cases. Then the road users will be more safe," he added.
Meanwhile, one of Bangka Urban Village residents, Rohman (49), appreciated the prone to fall trees. He hopes there will be no more fallen tree case in the area.
"The efforts must be kept continued for the sake of society comfort and safety," he admitted.
