Run For Hope 2025, Acting Governor Teguh Invites Residents to Care More About Health

Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi, attended the Run For Hope 2025 event at Senayan Park, Central Jakarta, Sunday (2/9) morning.

Hope it can accelerate prevention and more effective treatment

It is held in commemoration of World Cancer Day, initiated by MRCCC Siloam Hospitals together with Indonesian Cancer Foundation and Indonesian Oncology Association (POI).

Teguh appreciated the synergy of various parties in presenting the event with the enthusiasm to celebrate the spirit of cancer fighters. With the theme Remembering Cancer Warriors, the running race is held in two categories, namely 1K and 5K.

"On behalf of the Jakarta Government, I appreciate the collaboration between MRCCC Siloam Hospitals, Indonesian Cancer Foundation, Indonesian Oncology Association, medical personnel, volunteers, and the community in presenting ongoing health education and campaign programs every year," he expressed.

He assessed that cancer is still a big challenge in the world of health, thus education about early cancer recognition and improving the quality of life of cancer patients is a priority agenda that must be fought for together.

"So, through a better understanding of cancer, hope it can accelerate prevention and more effective treatment. Community support is also very important in providing encouragement and strength for cancer fighters," he explained.

Besides a sporting event, the Run For Hope is a symbol of hope and solidarity for cancer fighters.

Therefore, he invited Jakarta residents to care more about their health by adopting a healthy lifestyle, conducting routine checks for early detection, and supporting medical innovation for better cancer treatment.

"Good luck to the participants. May this event be an inspiration to continue contributing to accelerating cancer treatment and creating a healthier, smarter, and more competitive generation," he closed.
