C. Jakarta Health Sub-agency Intensifies Dengue Fever Prevention

Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency is about to intensify the eradication of mosquitoes nest (PSN) in order to anticipate the surge of dengue fever case in eight sub-districts.

Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Rismasari said there were 85 dengue fever cases during January to February 13, 2025 in her areas. The number is higher compared to same period last year by 65 cases.

"The prevention is run by intensifying mosquitoes nest eradication since it is effective in declining the case," she said, Monday (2/17).

Jakartans Urged to Follow 3M Plus to Prevent Dengue Fever

Risma added the prevention efforts include draining, closing water container and recycling various items that have the potential to become breeding areas for the aedes aegypti mosquito.

The campaign of this activity will be run together with Community Health Center, Jumantik, and cross-sectors of mayor, sub-district, and up to urban village levels.

According to her, the campaign will be intensified on residential, office, education instances, public area, food processing area, health and sport facilities.

"Hopefully the effort will effectively decline the dengue fever case," she hoped.
