Pramono Anung Delivers His First Speech at City Council's Plenary Meeting

The Plenary Meeting was led by Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin and accompanied by four City Council Vice namely Rany Mauliani, Wibi Andrino, Ima Mahdiah, and Basri Baco.

Pramono - Rano Expected to Realize Better Resident Welfare

During his speech, Pramono hopes there will be a good cooperation between Executive and Legislative to pursue Jakarta as a global city.

"I would like to express my deepest gratitude and hope there will be a good cooperation between Jakarta Provincial Government and the Jakarta City Council," Pramono said, Thursday (2/20).

Pramono added that the position he currently sits is a mandate that he will carry out as best as he can.

"Of course we will work together. The job can not be done by the Governor and Vice Governor, or Jakarta Provincial Government itself. We must collaborate with the Jakarta City Council," Pramono added.

According to him, Jakarta's current status is still the nation's capital. It is because the Presidential Decree about the Relocation of the Capital City has not been signed even though Law No. 2/2024 has been issued.

Moreover, he continued, President Prabowo remains stated that Jakarta is still the capital city.

Pramono assessed continuing the previous leaders in building Jakarta is important to be continued for the sake of Jakarta residents goodness.

Pramono also delivered his priority programs that will be run together with Rano Karno in 100 days.

The priorities are improving basic education service, widening public transportation, developing JAKI as super apps, widening the clean and drinking water, opening city park for 24 hours, and up to advancing Betawi culture.

"That is why we need support from all of you to be run in the next 100 days. There are 40 main programs that have been synergized with the transition team together with Jakarta Government," he said.

Pramono ensured he will return Jakarta Pintar Card (KJP) for 520 thousands recipients with the completion format must be carried out in each sub-district to provide convenience.

Moreover, Pramono also plans to widening public transportation access by increasing Transjakarta into Transjabodetabek for the sake resident's comfort.

"We'll discuss it later and hopefully it can be realized," he added.

Pramono also delivered his commitment in developing JAKI as a modern super apps. One of the ways is preparing a 24-hour mental health counseling hotline.

As in clean water sector, Pramono targets to widen the clean water services up to 100 percent.

Pramono also plans to open city park for 24 hours as the expression room and place of development for the MSMEs.

During his speech, Pramono also delivered about groundbreaking of Blok M TOD and Bundaran HI TOD that will be developed into community and heritage-based economic areas.

In providing job opportunity, Pramono stated that he plans to open job fair in all sub-districts since the jobless remains one of serious problems in Jakarta.

"We'll also change the Governor Regulation for PPSU personnel. Previous requirement was minimally senior high school, but now elementary school is enough," he continued.

Related with the flood problems, Pramono will continue previous programs by dredging the rivers, constructing absorption wells, canalization, and so on.

The Rorotan RDF Plant to overcome waste problem, Pramono stated that the facility should be launched by President Prabowo Subianto.

Related with the foodstuff stock and price ahead of Ramadan and Eid ul Fitr, also homecoming season, Pramono promises will work for it seriously.

"We'll also advance the sport in Jakarta, as well as Betawi culture," he said.

Meanwhile, Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin delivered Legislative's commitment to work together with the Executive in realizing more advanced Jakarta.

"Jakarta City Council is ready to cooperate with the Jakarta Provincial Government to ensure the programs will run effective and transparent for the residents," Khoirudin stated.

He added that Jakarta City Council will continue carrying out its supervisory function to ensure every Jakarta Provincial Government's policy can run well and provide benefits for the residents.

"We invite all parties to support the new Governor and Vice Governor for the sake of better Jakarta," he said.
