As stated by one of the residents, RW 03, Kelapa Island Urban Village, Harun (54).

The same statement also came out from RW 02, Kelapa Island Chairman, Mukhtar.

"Besides being an island protector, this sea wall can serve as a ring road that facilitates residents' accessibility. Let's work together to support this plan and follow the directions from the regional government and the Water Resources Agency (SDA)," he uttered.

Seribu Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Mustajab added the 837-meter sea wall construction will begin this year. The project is still in the planning stage and will soon enter the tender phase.

"We've conducted a survey in the field and also socialized it with the residents. Insya Allah (God willing), next month, we will have received the tender for the construction of this coastal sea wall," he explained.

He hoped that this could provide optimal protection for Kelapa Island from coastal erosion and improve the island's infrastructure.

"Hopefully, everything goes smoothly and the benefits will be seen soon," he hoped.
