South Jakarta Optimistic to Grab STQ Jakarta Champion

As many as 32 representatives of qori, qoriah, hafidz, and hafidzah in South Jakarta are optimistic to grab a champion in the Tilawatil Qur'an Selection (STQ) at Jakarta level which will take place on June 5-7, 2015, in North Jakarta Islamic Center.

Section Head of South Jakarta Mental and Spiritual, Habis Asy'ari expressed that the 32 contingents were selected from urban villages and city level selection. Prior to the competition, they would firstly get a training two days at the College of Science Koran (PTIQ) in Lebak Bulus, Cilandak.

" We train them individually, that is by improving their vocal, breathing and giving a direction how to maintain stamina well before the competition ," he told, Friday (6/5).

According to him, South Jakarta had become a champion in the same competition two years ago. "If they could maintain this champion title, we will give them special awards," he stressed.
