North Jakarta Tamhut Prunes 1,525 Trees in January-February

In January-February 2025, the North Jakarta City Park and Forestry (Tamhut) Sub-agency's Green Troops have handled 1,525 trees prone to falling and splitting.

Habib expressed that pruning makes trees in the neighborhood, parks, green lanes, and other areas remain well-maintained and neat.
"We do this regularly to check the condition of the trees," he mentioned.
Of the total 1,525 trees, 29 trees were cut down, 83 trees were heavily pruned, 1,040 trees were moderately pruned, and 306 trees were lightly pruned.
"We also handled two split trees and 65 fallen trees in January-February 2025 period," he added.
In the same period, 80 Green Troops personnel were also deployed from the unit level in six sub-districts to prune the trees.
His party also implements a Wednesday Prunning program to optimize efforts to prevent falling and splitting trees.
"We urge residents to report immediately if there are trees that need to be handled urgently. Thus loses due to falling and splitting trees can be minimized," he asserted.
