PPKUKM Inspects Fuel Pump Meters at Gas Stations Along Homecoming Routes

Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency in collaboration with Directorate of Metrology within the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, conducted inspections of fuel pump meters at gas stations (SPBU) along homecoming routes in Jakarta. So far, eight gas stations have been inspected.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, stated that the inspections aim to ensure compliance with measurement, weighing, and equipment standards (UTTP) while guaranteeing accurate fuel measurement for consumers.
She explained that during the inspections, officials checked calibration certificates, meter seals, and ensured that no additional devices were attached to the machines. Additionally, a fuel measurement test was conducted to verify volume accuracy.

Ratu emphasized that this inspection is an essential effort to protect consumers, especially drivers relying on gas station services during the National Religious Holiday (HBKN) Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri homecoming period.
"The inspection is carried out to ensure consumer safety and verify that the fuel measurements comply with standards," she asserted.
