The homecoming travelers at Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal is increasing ahead of Eid.

Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal's Handling, Mulyono said the travelers heading to Sumatera has been increasing since March 19.

"At the same period last year, departure number was 2,970 passengers by using 357 buses. Then for arrival was 8,077 passengers by using 1,342 buses," he added.
Mulyono continued there is still no passenger surge for several destinations such as West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java.
According to him, there are 90 to 100 buses departed on usual days.
"Now there are 105-110 buses per day dominated by several destinations such as Padang, Bengkulu, Palembang, and Jambi," he said.
He predicted the homecoming peak to happen the day after tomorrow since the joint holiday starts on that day, March 28.
Moreover, Integrated Security Post has been operating since March 21 with total 150 joint personnel.
"The personnel are terminal management, Transportation Agency, Army, Police, Scout, and Satpol PP. We also prepared a Complaint Post for Illegal Levies which is guarded by internal supervisory elements and the Army/Police," he added.
Mulyono continued there is also Health Post at the terminal to check the passenger and bus crew health.
"We must ensure the bus crews are not drunk or consuming drugs," he continued.
One of the autobus company staffs for Sumatera destination, Tiar (42), admitted bus ticket price is increasing.
"The price is based on the destinations," he admitted.
Meanwhile, one of the passengers, Aditya (22), stated he went earlier to his hometown since the trip takes 15 hours.
"I am here to study. I go earlier to spend more time with my families," he stated.
