West Jakarta Mayor, Uus Kuswanto has emphasized that there is no tolerance for bullying, particularly among students.

He stated that bullying perperators could get sanctions in accordance with existing regulations, potentially even criminal charges. He urged all parties, especially students, to refrain from engaging in bullying.

He also called on West Jakarta Education Sub-agency to take appropriate steps in collaboration with other relevant agencies, including providing support to bullying victims.
"Alongside outreach to parents, I hope schools can provide more effective and targeted guidance to prevent such cases from happening again," he mentioned.
On the other hand, Novia Hendriyati, an advocate from Jakarta PPAPP Agency's Regional Technical Implementation Unit for Women and Children Protection (UPTD PPA), confirmed that assistance has been provided to the victim, including psychological assessments and legal consultations.
"We have conducted psychological assessments on the child who was a victim of bullying. We also have provided legal consultation related to the application of the juvenile criminal justice system," she conveyed.
She explained that assistance for the bullying victims will continue after diversion efforts are conducted, in line with police referrals and the relevant laws.
"If the diversion efforts succeed, we focus on recovery. However, even if the diversion does not succeed, we will still provide assistance," she added.
The handling of children in conflict with the law, in this case the three underage girls suspected as perpetrators, will be managed by West Jakarta Correctional Center (Bapas).
"Certainly, Bapas is expected to coordinate with Health Agency or the nearest health center (Puskesmas) to provide psychological counseling to
them," she uttered.
