Pramono Inaugurates 120 Jakarta Hajj Officers 2025

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, inaugurated 120 officers of Jakarta Hajj management committee (PPIH) for the year 1446 Hijri/2025 at Great Hall, Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (4/29).

This inauguration marks the readiness of the Jakarta Government to send 7,926 pilgrims divided into 19 groups.

In his speech, he emphasized the importance of excellent service from the hajj officers to all pilgrims. Being a hajj officer is a privilege and a trust that must be conducted with full responsibility.

"You are fortunate to be a hajj officer this year. Of course, you all must serve the pilgrims to the best of your ability. Don't let the pilgrims serve you instead," he expressed.

He also urged them about the various challenges they would face during their duties, especially in serving thousands of pilgrims with diverse backgrounds and needs.

He emphasized the importance of sincerity and genuine intention in running duties, as well as maintaining physical and mental health to avoid burdening the congregation or other officials.

"Hence, we must be grateful, all of you have been chosen to be the Hajj officers, which means you are selected to run your duty," he asserted.

He also shared his experiences as a hajj officer while serving as the chairman of the DPR.

He emphasized the difference between that experience and performing Hajj personally. He hoped, the Hajj officers can take lessons from it and run their duties to the best of their ability.

He also hoped that they could run their duties smoothly, return to Jakarta safely, and receive blessings during their service.

"So, sincerity becomes the main key in you all carrying out your duties as Hajj officers during this period," he said.
