We (as the Government) must play an important role in this case

The delivery of aid coinciding with the commemoration of National Education Day is part of the Jakarta Government's efforts to ensure that no residents of Jakarta are held back from obtaining their diplomas due to financial constraints.

"Jakarta Government symbolically handed over educational assistance in the form of delayed diplomas (diploma clearance) for the second phase of 2025," he expressed, when he delivered his speech at the National Education Day 2025 ceremony in the courtyard of the Jakarta City Hall.

Commission A Vice Chairwoman Supports Diploma Clearance Program

In the first phase, he explained, 117 students had received similar assistance. With the delivery of this second phase, a total of 488 students had received assistance from the diploma clearance program with a total value by Rp 1.69 billion.

"We'll continue to strive because there are still 6,652 diplomas held up at the school," he asserted.

He emphasized the importance of this program, thus the residents could continue their education and use their diplomas to get jobs. He also expressed appreciation to all members of Baznas Bazis Jakarta for their synergy and support in assisting residents facing administrative obstacles in completing their education.

"In essence, this diploma was not obtained because they are poor. Certainly, we (as the Government) must play an important role in this case," he asserted.

He added the fulfillment of this basic education service is one of the main priority programs in realizing Jakarta as the National Economic Center and a Global City.

"I hope this will be beneficial for the students whose diplomas have been held up," he stated.
