April 2025, 634 Rabies-transmitting Animals in W. Jakarta Vaccinated

The West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) successfully vaccinated 634 rabies-transmitting animals throughout April 2025.

It keeps being intensified, this is free of charge

West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Novy C Palit said the rabies vaccination went smoothly through door to door method. It was focused on Semanan, Kamal, Jembatan Lima, Glodok, Krendang, and Kedoya Selatan urban villages.

"It keeps being intensified, this is free of charge. We want Jakarta to be rabies-free," she expressed, Tuesday (6/5).

She detailed, from 634 animals vaccinated, 117 were dogs, 513 were cats, two were monkeys, and two were weasels.

She invited the residents of West Jakarta to ensure that their pets, which are rabies carriers, are vaccinated promptly as a form of health protection.

"This vaccination has been ongoing since May 2025 in urban villages of Kamal, Meruya Utara, Cengkareng Barat, and Pinangsia," she said.
