Pramono Inaugurates Integrated Connectivity Infrastructure in Dukuh Atas

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, inaugurated the launch of integrated connectivity infrastructure at the MRT Jakarta-Dukuh Atas Transport Hub building, Wednesday (5/7).

He promised to resolve the issues of intermodal transport integration in the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta.

"Today, I officially launched the integrated connectivity infrastructure in Dukuh Atas area, as well as the digitalization and integration of free mass public transportation services for 15 groups of people," he expressed.

He is aware of the issues regarding the integration of intermodal transportation after reviewing the Transport Hub facilities integrated with the MRT, Transjakarta, and train. Hence, he instructed all his staff to resolve the issues.

He also mentioned that he would communicate with the Minister of Transportation for connecting facility with all modes of transportation.

"President Director of MRT tells me that this is not yet integrated with all existing transport modes. And I've already asked my staff, including Transjakarta and MRT President Director, to expedite the process," he explained.

He also emphasized the importance of eliminating sectoral ego that has hindered transportation integration so far. Thereby, he would take direct action to resolve the issue.

"Why couldn't it be done before, yes, because it was due to sectoral egos," he stressed.

He also announced the digitalization and integration of free mass public transportation services for 15 groups of people. This free service would eventually be expanded to the Greater Jakarta area.

"Earlier, I also announced the 15 groups that we will free. And in the future, it won't only be free in Transjakarta, but also in Transjabodetabek," he added.

Even, he had instructed the Head of Transportation Agency (Dishub) to soon open five new Transjabodetabek routes, following the launch of the Alam Sutera-Blok M route.

"So far, the public response has been very good," he said.
