to ensure that Jakarta citizens can still move to use public transportation
PT Transjakarta Operational and Safety Director, Daud Joseph said his side has anticipated this since last night.
"We respect the online motorcycle taxi who are using their rights to express their opinions. However, we are also obliged to ensure that Jakarta citizens can still move to use public transportation," he said.
Joseph added that the company focuses on three locations namely Horse Statue (near Monas and City Hall), MPR-DPR Building, and Ministry of Manpower.
He exlained that the route will be diverted to Cideng if there are obstacles around the Horse Statue. It means the passengers from HI Roundabout may continue their trip smoothly.
Then for MPR-DPR Building, the route will be diverted via Gerbang Pemuda toll gate and exit at Kemanggisan. It means Gerbang Pemuda and Slipi Petamburan shelters operational are off temporarily.
"Passengers are remain able to use the bus heading to Cawang or vice versa," he added.
Route for Ministry of Manpower will be diverted to Semanggi 2 toll gate and exit at Pancoran. It means shelters like Denpasar (Gatot Subroto Jamsostek), Kuningan Barat, and Tegal Parang are temporarily off.
Previously, he continued, the Horse Statue area was closed at 11:39 AM. But now the situation is fully handled with open-close system.
"Situationally, passengers can use the Monas and City Hall shelters," he continued.
He appealed the passengers to actively monitor Transjakarta's official social media like Instagram, Tiktok, X, Facebook, as well as TJ: Transjakarta application.
This application is updating information in real-time related to the routes diversion and service conditions.
