Besok, Pramono akan Buka Transjabodetabek Rute PIK-Blok M

Pramono to Launch Transjabodetabek PIK-Blok M Route Tomorrow

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, is scheduled to launch a new Transjabodetabek route from PIK to Blok M tomorrow. This aims to reduce emissions and also overcome traffic congestion in the capital.

It will be done comprehensively

"It will be done comprehensively," he expressed, at Park Hyatt Hotel, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (5/21).

He added this is carried out comprehensively and systematically, resulting in many proposals for new routes being submitted directly to him, especially for busy routes.

"For instance, most of them are headed towards Blok M," he exclaimed.

Hence, he would also consider whether the Blok M terminal would be expanded or not. Currently, the demand for new routes is almost entirely centered in Blok M and Cawang.

"I will see if Blok M really needs to be repaired, expanded, or we should look for alternatives so that it is easier for people to get from Blok M to anywhere," he explained.

He asserted the Jakarta Government has been committed since 2012 to reduce emissions by 30 percent. It also emphasized its seriousness in achieving that target.

"Then why should we seriously improve the enthusiasm for using public transportation," he exclaimed.

One form of seriousness from the Jakarta Government is by requiring civil servants to use public transportation every Wednesday. He also appreciates those who comply with this rule.

"I see their seriousness in using public transportation every Wednesday. Hopefully, this can become a tradition," he closed.
