Visiting Tarakan Hospital, Rano Checks Land Development Plan

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, visited the Tarakan Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Cideng, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

We have expansion plans

The visit was conducted as part of the development plan for the Tarakan RSUD land.

"We have expansion plans because this hospital has become the most preferred referral for Jakartans," he said, Friday (5/23).

As a category A hospital, he explained, Tarakan RSUD offers various excellent services such as integrated cancer care, integrated heart care, stroke, and neurology. Overall, Tarakan RSUD has 31 types of specialists and 32 types of subspecialists.

According to him, the various advantages of this hospital have made it a favorite among residents. As a result, the hospital is always filled with visitors daily and requires additional land for building expansion.

Unfortunately, the land owned by the hospital cannot be developed anymore. Even during the era of Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, the development of the Tarakan Regional Hospital was built on the Cideng River.

As an alternative, he mentioned the plan to utilize the SDN Cideng 02 building located right next to Building B of the Tarakan Regional Hospital. In the future, this school will be merged with the nearest school.

"Its construction might be in 2027. Because there are still 300 children. So, it will be merged with a school not far from here," he stated.
