Jakarta Social Department Sent Back 163 PMKS to Their Hometown

As many as 163 people with social welfare problem (PMKS) who netted in raid were repatriated by Jakarta Social Department to their hometown on Wednesday (6/24).

We hope they not come back to Jakarta for begging

The PMKS consisting of vagrants, beggars, abandoned children, transvestites, and person with disabilities were repatriated to West Java and Central Java using 4 buses of Bina Insan Bangun Daya 2 Ceger Social Homes, Cipayung, East Jakarta.

Jakarta Social Department Head, Masrohan uttered, as many as 88 PMKS repatriated trough Bina Mandiri Social Rehabilitation Sub Unit Homes Palimanan. While the 75 other PMSK were repatriated trough Margowidodo Rehabilitation Homes Semarang.

January to June, 713 PMKS Netted In Central Jakarta

"We hope they not come back to Jakarta for begging," told Masrokhan, when repatriate PMKS in Bina Insan Bangun Daya 2 Ceger Social Homes, Cipayung, East Jakarta.

He added, the PMKS repatriation program will be held every month, especially for this month, the program will be held again on upcoming July 10 and H+2 after Eid Ul-Fitr.

Besides create the agreement letter for PMKS, Jakarta Provincial Government also cooperates with Metro Jaya Police to handle the PMKS problem in capital.

"We will process them legally if we found they come back here and caught again," he stressed.

Salwen (50), a PMKS from Grinting Village, Brebes, Central Java, admitted give up begging in Jakarta. She netted by Satpol PP officers two weeks ago in Meruya Market, West Jakarta and immediately transferred to Bina Insan Bangun Daya Kedoya Social Homes, West Jakarta.  

"I give up begging in Jakarta. During treatment in social homes, I cried and wanted to go home early to gather with family," said the mother of three children.
