Ciracas KPKP Unit Ensures Sacrificial Meat is Safe for Consumption

The Ciracas District Food Security, Marine and Agriculture (KPKP) Unit conducted checking to qurban animal slaughtering areas to ensure the meat is safe for consumption.

No problematic organs

The checking was run at Al Huda Grand Mosque, Jalan Raya Ciracas, RT 04/03, Ciracas Urban Village.

Ciracas District Food Security, Marine and Agriculture (KPKP) Unit Head, Imron said officers checked the animals before being slaughtered. Officers also checked the organs starting from the meat, liver, lungs, heart, to the innards.

"No problematic organs of the sacrificial animals have been found. All are safe for consumption. We will continue the examination until Sunday," he said, Friday (6/6).

According to him, this examination is a routine activity every Eid al Adha.

"Our personnel will examine the qurban animals starting from the shelters, selling points, and after being slaughtered," he added.

Ciracas Urban Village Head, Sudarna explained there were 254 cows and 792 goats slaughtered at 10 RWs with total 147 RTs.

"There is still slaughtering process tomorrow. We keep collaborate with KPKP Unit to ensure the meat is safe for consumption," he stated.
