20,000 Visitors Enjoy Entertainment in Kota Tua

Around 20 thousand visitors enjoyed the performances provided to celebrate Jakarta's 498th Anniversary at Kota Kuta, Tamansari, West Jakarta, Sunday (6/22).

The excitement began with a performance of Tabuh Nusantara who performed typical Betawi songs such Kicir-kicir, Jali-jali and Sampul Batavia, accompanied by fire-playing attractions by [professional players.

Adhikara Opens Performance at Lapangan Banteng

Visitors were more entertained by Wulan KDI's performance singing dangdut hits.

Wulan enlivened the stage with the songs Stecu, Putri Iklan, Bete, Simalakama and closed with Goyang Duman song.

Sari (34), a resident came from Tangerang, Banten, appreciated the event that carries Betawi cultural concept.

"Songs of dangdut, koplo, and Betawi surely entertained us here. Thanks to Jakarta Provincial Government for providing this," she said.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Parekraf Agency's Division of Marketing and Attraction Head, Sherly Yuliana explained the event which is also held yesterday, Saturday (6/21), was also attended by more than 20 thousand people.

"They came from Jakarta and outside Jakarta. Hopefully this event will invite more people to visit Kota Tua," she explained.
