Bank Jakarta Rebranding Marks a Shift Toward Improved Quality and Services

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission B Chairperson, Nova Harivan Paloh, welcomed the rebranding of Bank DKI to Bank Jakarta. He said the name change should mark a turning point to improve service quality and expand its services.

"With the new name Bank Jakarta and the upcoming IPO plan, we certainly hope the bank will move up a class,"

"With the new name Bank Jakarta and the upcoming IPO plan, we certainly hope the bank will move up a class," he expressed, Wednesday (7/2).

Nova emphasized the importance of professionalism in service, along with expanding banking access for the public. One issue he highlighted was the limited number of Bank DKI ATMs in public areas.

Bank Jakarta Officially Launched, Aiming for IPO and Global Competitiveness

"If we look around, not all malls in Jakarta have ATM DKI, although people need easy access. While mobile banking has advanced, physical presence is still necessary," he noted.

He also encouraged stronger brand campaigns in public spaces to support the rebranding.

"For instance, we could have Bank Jakarta branding on MRT, LRT, and Transjakarta. This is important so the public becomes more familiar with the brand," he asserted.

Nova pointed out that Jakarta has a population of around 11.8 million people. He hopes that at least 50-60 percent of that number will become Bank Jakarta service users.

"When we talk about rebranding, the target should be at least to reach 50 percent of Jakarta's 11.86 million residents. That would be on point," he stated.
