City Council Supports BUMD Collaboration with Victoria Australia

Jakarta City Council's Commission B Chairman, Nova Harivan Paloh supports strengthening cooperation between Jakarta's Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) and international partners, including the state government of Victoria, Australia.

This collaboration is expected to encourage the development of the food sector, especially meat.

Nova said that Jakarta has a number of strategic BUMDs in the food sector, such as Perumda Dharma Jaya which is engaged in meat trading, slaughterhouse management, and cold storage facilities.

"PD Dharma Jaya is able to collaborate with Australia, especially Victoria," he said, Wednesday (7/2).

He emphasized that this cooperation could include the development of cold storage facilities, strengthening the meat supply, and increasing the capacity of slaughterhouses.

Moreover, the aspect of knowledge transfer is also an important part of this collaboration.

"It is important to improve the quality of food management in Jakarta," he added.

The commission hopes that this collaboration can support Jakarta's food security and increase the efficiency and professionalism of BUMD in meeting the needs of Jakarta residents.
