Khoirudin Hopes for City Budget Amendment Discussion Acceleration

Jakarta City Council Head, Khoirudin directly monitored the discussion of all commission meeting for consultation on the discussion of the Draft Changes to the General Policy of the Regional Budget and the Temporary Budget Priorities and Ceilings (KUA-PPAS) for the 2025 Budget Year, Monday (7/7).

KUA-PPAS Discussion Must Answer Basic Needs of Jakarta Residents
He added that the meeting acceleration is important for the sake of resident's welfare.
"The impact will be felt by the executive and public services if the discussion is postponed or too slow. The budget must give benefit for residents of Jakarta," he added.
Khoirudin ensured the 2025 Revised Regional Budget give an increase in budget allocation for a number of strategic programs.
"The increased budget are for KJP Plus and KJMU, also for health, education and transportation. It is part of our commitment to serve Jakarta residents," he continued.
He also appealed ranks of executive starting from agency up to urban village, and community health center heads to arrange the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for each program.
"The budget must have clear and measured target. Council will supervise it based on the indicator," he said.
Khoirudin emphasized the importance of performance-based evaluation of government officials.
"If the KPI achievement is only 50 percent, it means that they are not yet worthy of serving. If it is 70 percent, give them a chance to improve. But if it is 80 to 90 percent, it is worthy of appreciation and even promotion. We want performance that can be measured objectively," he explained.
He assesed that council will be more effective in supervising the executive performance with clear and transparent method.
