Rano Karno Inspects Flood Areas in South Jakarta

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, inspected flood locations in South Jakarta on Tuesday (7/8). One of them was in urban villages of Jati Padang, Pejaten Barat, and Bangka.

Each region has different issues

Rano said, his visit also served as part of the evaluation of flood management in the area.

"Nothing has been fully resolved 100 percent because each region has different issues," he explained.

On that occasion, he received reports of a community health center being flooded quite severely. He also believed that relocation was necessary to avoid disrupting the service to residents.

"I said, if it really needs to be moved, move it then. Because the health center is for public service. This will be part of our evaluation," he asserted.

He also mentioned that he and the Governor divided the tasks to survey the flood locations on the same day.

"Because this time the flood was quite widespread. He (Mr. Governor) inspected the northern and western areas," he said.
