Short Courses on Stunting Reduction Held in Central Jakarta

Central Jakarta Administration, Tuesday (7/15), held socialization and coaching clinic for the implementation of convergence actions for the Prevention and Acceleration of Stunting Reduction.

Stunting prevalence is one of the main Jakarta Provincial Government performance indicators

Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin reducing the prevalence of stunting is one of the strategic directions of national development as stated in the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) document, and is in line with the final draft of the 2025-2029 Jakarta RPJMD.

"Stunting prevalence is one of the main Jakarta Provincial Government performance indicators in controlling the quality of child growth and development," he said.

Central Jakarta, Arifin added, is prioritizing prevention and accelerating stunting reduction through various program interventions implemented in a convergent, cross-sectoral, and data-driven manner.

The target groups for these interventions include pregnant women, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants aged 0-23 months and toddlers aged 24-59 months, adolescent girls and prospective brides, households, and the community.

Arifin added that the transformation of eight convergence actions, based on the Ministry of Home Affairs' Circular Letter Number 400.5.7/1685/Bangda on March 17, 2025, the transformation now emphasizes strengthening the role of districts and urban villages, increasing human resource capacity, and utilizing information technology based on digital transformation.

He hopes stakeholders in Central Jakarta will thoroughly understand the substance of the changes to the technical guidelines for convergence actions, while also strengthening synergy between sectors in their implementation.

"The development of the Ministry of Home Affairs' Bangda Action web information system application is more user-friendly and adaptive than the previous version. It can also be optimally used in data-driven monitoring and evaluation processes to support the prevention and acceleration of stunting reduction in Central Jakarta," he continued.

Arifin asked the participants in the socialization, especially those responsible for data input at the district level and the Central Jakarta City TPPS team, to ensure the data input process is carried out correctly, on time, and in accordance with technical instructions.

"This will determine the quality of our future policy-making and subsequent stunting performance assessments," he stated.
