Rano Appreciates the MoU between Bank Jakarta and Persija

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, appreciated the signing of the MoU for exploring sponsorship cooperation between Bank Jakarta and the Persija club, Thursday (7/17) at Menteng Park, Central Jakarta.

"This afternoon marks one of our promises: that we will work together," Rano said.

Rano added that Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung is targeting Persija to win the league within two years. Rano also hopes the support provided will propel Persija to gain victory in the 2025-2026 league season.
Rano continued that another Jakarta Regional-Owned Enterprise, namely the Jakarta Regional Drinking Water Company (PAM Jaya), had also previously provided support to Persija.
Then, the management of Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) has also agreed to become the home base stadium for Persija matches.
President Director of Bank Jakarta, Agus Haryoto Widodo admitted that the MoU signing was deliberately carried out at Menteng Park as a historic location which was previously used as a stadium where Persija played.
He assessed that Persija is not just a football club, but has become an icon of Jakarta's civic spirit, loyalty, and positive energy.
This aligns with Bank Jakarta's ongoing commitment to becoming an innovative and trusted bank. Therefore, the bank continues to improve its performance to bring services closer to the community.
Therefore, Agus emphasized, the collaboration with Persija is not just about displaying the logo on the club's jersey, but also about building a close relationship with the people of Jakarta. He hopes this effort can inspire and foster shared pride in the city.
"Let's prove that if we all unite, Jakarta can do it, and Persija can be champions," he said.
Meanwhile, Persija Director, Muhammad Prapanca thanked and appreciated Bank Jakarta's trust and commitment to be part of Persija in running the BRI Superleague for 2025-2026 season.
"Hopefully this collaboration will also give benefit for Jakarta resident," he stated.
